🎶 Silvermines Folk Choir
The Silvermines Folk Choir is a welcoming community group that provides music for parish Masses, seasonal liturgies, and special celebrations. Blending traditional Irish music with contemporary liturgical songs, the choir brings warmth, harmony, and a strong sense of community to every event.

Open to singers and musicians of all ages, the choir rehearses regularly in Silvermines Church and performs throughout the year at parish ceremonies including Christmas, Easter, First Communion, Confirmation, and other local gatherings. No audition is required — just a love of music and a desire to be part of a friendly, supportive group.
Whether you’re an experienced singer or simply enjoy being part of community life, the Silvermines Folk Choir offers a meaningful and enjoyable way to get involved.
🎉 20th Anniversary – 2027
In 2027, the Silvermines Folk Choir will celebrate its 20th Anniversary — a milestone marking two decades of music, community spirit, and parish involvement.
To mark the occasion, choir member Robbie Glennon is producing a short documentary tracing the history of the choir from day one up to the present. Robbie is inviting members of the parish and wider community to take part in this special commemorative project.
